Overview
An old coal plant was transforming into an AI data center. We were familiar with this legacy power generation station in its early stages of transition, but this specific portion of the project was new to us and moving fast. We had a strong history with the site’s electrical contractor, so we were in a great position to make new connections at the site and educate the customer about how we could help with their project. We knew we could use our diverse vendor network to deliver all the equipment the site needed safely and on time.
The Problem
The amount of new equipment the site needed–delivered, connected, and tested–was absolutely massive. As industry experts, we worked with the engineers involved to support them and help supply the proper equipment. They couldn’t afford mistakes–the equipment needed to be accurate and on time.
The Solution
We understood how every piece Terawulf needed played into the full picture of the site. We used our network of industry contacts to furnish transformers, switchgear, cable accessories, UPS systems, and more under a heavily condensed ship and delivery schedule. We ensured all parties involved were communicating regularly each step of the way, and all of the newest information was shared through phone calls, video meetings, and site visits.
The Result
Our lightning-fast response meant the customer received all the equipment they needed right when they needed it. We sourced equipment sufficient to power a 500-megawatt data center (that’s equal to the usage of 300,000–500,000 average households)! We did what we do best—solve the toughest problems—so that TeraWulf could do what they do best. With the proper equipment sourced and delivered, Terawulf could press forward with other portions of this massive power generation site. Now they have a new industry expert resource they can rely on for future projects.
