A semiconductor manufacturing plant needed reliable power to maintain its extremely valuable uptime.
Local utility power was unreliable, and the constant brownouts were causing millions of dollars in lost time and materials halted mid-process. The manufacturing facility had no easy way to isolate electrical loads and no space in the facility itself to host UPS equipment.
We designed a separate weathertight building with lights, fire suppression, and cooling to house the Schneider UPS System. It had a 1000 kw capacity (scaleable to 1500 kw) that could keep the plant running seamlessly through any power outage. We only had to use 4 parking spots in their lot to fit it!
The semiconductor plant’s UPS switches on instantaneously any time loss of power is detected, and as a result they’ve had no downtime due to power loss since the new E-house came online.
